Maggie (formerly Phoebe) was rescued from a kill shelter in Mississippi 2 and 1/2 years ago. I planned to foster her for my parents, but when they couldn’t adopt her, it was a forgone conclusion that my husband, son and I would welcome her into our family permanently! Maggie was a sweet, smart and extremely goofy girl who we loved so much. She succumbed to renal failure this summer, leaving a huge hole in our hearts. We were lucky to have her for the short time we did.
