How would you describe their personality?
Curious, Brave and Courageous. This photo is of Super Switch as a kitten was taken after he was adopted from a family farm in Hiawatha, KS. He eventually grew up to be a large, furry, friendly and lovable Maincoon - truly the most unusual cat we have ever known.

As an adult, Switch thought he was a dog (or a human), and was involved in every aspect of our human life. He loved to be up, up, up (i.e. on the counters, your laptop while you worked, or even on our neighbors roof perched to see the park across the street. He loved to go for rides and hang out the car window while rollin down the road. He liked switching his tail to Elvis CD's, Jazz, and Country music hits.

His cat behavior was so unusual he inspired a comic strip in 2009 called, "Super Switch, The Return of Katnip World." The comic strip which runs in the McCook Daily Gazette Whiskers section has been in every week for five years (over 250 stories to date). Switch passed away two years ago and we will never forget him. He was with us when we made our very first donation to the McCook Humane Society ($9.75 from a lemonade stand) and he inspires us to continue volunteering for the shelter today!
