The Cat Pack: Friends of The McCook Humane Society
We are a group of youth volunteers and adult family members who team up to support our local Humane Society with community awareness about the joy of adopting shelter animals. Our volunteering includes:
- Fund-raising
- Special events
- Animal welfare PR and promotions
Since 2009, our youth volunteers have hosted a major summer break fundraiser project, or supported shelter fundraisers, parades, and special events throughout the year. Cat Pack projects alone have raised over $9,000 in donations for the McCook Humane Society. The custom pack of playing cards is the Cat Packs latest 2015 summer project and when the deck of cards are available, they will be sold at: the animal shelter (100 South Street), at Emeritus at Willow Ridge Senior Living Community in McCook, and at select retail store locations in McCook and across Nebraska, and McCook Humane Society events scheduled throughout the year.
