- Each vote is $1.00. (i.e. a $5.00 donation equals 5 votes)
- There is a $5.00 entry fee for each photo submitted.
- Participants must be school age children/students up to age 18.
- PARENTAL PERMISSION IS REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPATION. PARENT MUST ACCOMPANY YOU for your photo shoot with the rescue pet.
- Your pet must be an OPA rescue/adopted pet, OR an OPA pet currently in foster care
- If you need help pairing up with an OPA rescue pet (cat or dog) for your photo, please send an email to Elizabeth@operationpetsalive.org.
- You will then be matched with an Operation Pets Alive pet and his foster for scheduling.
- We ask that you dress in school or activity group uniform or t-shirt, (i.e., drill team uniform, letter jacket, band uniform, cheerleader uniform, football uniform, soccer uniform, track uniform, ballet uniform, school spirit t-shirt, church group t-shirt, boy scout uniform, girl scout uniform, etc.)
- BE CREATIVE!
- You are responsible to have your photo taken. Good quality digital photos are preferred, but high res scans of hardcopies are ok.
- You must include Your name, the pet's name, pet's age, and a short story / bio about the pet you are featuring and why this event is important to you.
- All animals must be depicted in a humane and dignified manner.
- All photos must be uploaded to the contest url.
- All submitted photos are subject to review and approval by OPA.
- We reserve the right to decline publication of any photograph on the photo contest website for any reason.
- All photos submitted to the contest become the property of OPA and may be used as needed at the discretion of OPA.
- All donations from photo submissions are non-refundable.
- Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Contest payments online are through a secure site. We cannot accept hard copies of photo entries and payments in person at OPA.
VOTING
Select your favorite entry / entries. Entries will receive one vote for each $1.00 you donate (for example, $5.00 = 5 votes, and so on). You may vote for one or as many entries as you like. OPA is an IRS-designated 501 ( c ) 3 charitable organization, so every donation is tax deductible.
