Penelope was a stray who would camp out on our porch from time to time. It took four years for me to earn her trust to get close enough to touch her. One of our coldest January's had hit and I promised my husband if we brought her in it would only be until the Polar Vortex passed "a couple weeks tops"....that was over three years ago. ;)
