Thank you for being a part of A Better English Setter Rescue's biggest fundraiser, our annual photo calendar contest. We're aiming to break records again this year, supporting our mission of saving English Setters and setter mixes.
By voting, you're directly helping dogs in need. Every photo entered has a chance to become our calendar's "Cover Dog." It's free to enter, and all dogs will be featured in the calendar. Once you've entered, share the link with your pup's fans to boost their chances.
Voting and entering our calendar cover fundraiser begins on
September 1st and ends at 10:00 PM on October 1st. Each dollar you donate counts as one vote and is tax-deductible. The dog with the most votes will grace our calendar's cover, and all funds raised will go directly to rescuing dogs. You can vote as often as you like! The vote tally is updated in real-time, so you can track your favorite's progress.

Reserve a Day to Honor Your DogHonor your beloved dog with a special day just for them. Whether it's their gotcha day, birthday, or another milestone, let's make it truly memorable. Your furry friend's photo will take center stage on the day you choose.
Simply select your favorite photo, pick a date, and make a payment. It's as easy as that! But hurry, because dates are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Once a date is claimed, it's gone!

Calendar orders are officially open! These calendars make PAWsome gifts for the holidays! All proceeds benefit the rescue dogs. Pre-purchasing calendars will guarantee you receive your calendar before the end of 2025. You will be all set to begin the New Year with a beautiful calendar on January 1. Pre-sales also help us purchase the right number of calendars so we don’t waste valuable funds on extra stock.

First Place
The dog receiving the most votes will be featured on the cover of the calendar and a larger photo will be featured in the month of their choosing. They will receive a prize pack from our generous donors and a 2026 calendar!
Second and Third Place
Second and Third place will feature a larger photo in the calendar and receive a prize pack from our generous donors.
Runner-ups (9)
The top nine runner-ups will receive a larger picture inside the calendar!
Additional Prizes
- Anyone donating a total of $75 votes over the course of the contest will receive a free ABESR 10 Year Logo Magnet and Sticker.
- Anyone donating a total of $250 (or more) votes over the course of the contest will receive a free 2026 calendar plus the above prizes.
By entering this contest, you agree to abide by the following rules, terms, and conditions.
The contest period begins at 8:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Monday, September 1, 2025 and ends at 10:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. The winners will be notified by email.
Entries must be of ABESR alum, fosters, doggie siblings, ABESR volunteer's dogs as well as any other rescued setters. One entry per family and no people please.
Contestants must provide their name and email address. Additionally, we ask that you share your dog(s) name, age, state, and a brief bio.
By submitting your photo for entry, you grant ABESR unrestricted rights to use the photo in the calendar and calendar-related promotions.
By entering the contest, you are stating that you are the sole owner of the photograph or have permission from the owner to do so.
Digital photographs only. Photographs must be in color and of good quality. If your photograph has too low of resolution, we will request a higher resolution picture if you are in the top 12.
