About:
A Good Dog Rescue, located in Verplanck, NY, is a 501c3 charity organization. We rescue dogs from crowded shelters at risk of euthanasia and place them into loving homes. Our dogs originate from all over, but we specialize in homeless dogs from Alabama and southern states. We partner with other shelters and organizations along the east coast to bring these amazing animals to New York for a greater chance of finding their "furever" family.
Our mission is based in genuine desire to help Good Dogs find Good Homes. All of our dogs await homes in cageless boarding at our Canine Kindergarten facility or are fostered by our dedicated network of volunteers. We believe in and passionately advocate for dog safety, quality of life, commitment, loyalty, love, training, education, and a better life for all dogs.
This year we will donate all contest funds raised to our Spay/Neuter Outreach Program. Our rescue was founded with the mission of not only finding forever homes for unwanted dogs, but also to stop unnecessary euthanization of otherwise healthy dogs, particularly in the south. One way we do this is by raising money to cover spay and neuter services (approximately $125) for those in need within the communities we rescue dogs from.
