Top Overall Winner (Cover Star): The pet with the most votes will be featured exclusively on the cover of the 2026 Almost Home Animal Rescue Calendar and will receive a free copy of the calendar. This spot is reserved for one special pet who captures the hearts (and votes!) of our supporters.

Monthly Features: The next 12 pets with the highest votes will receive prominent placement as monthly calendar pets, surrounded by other adorable submissions.

Everyone's a Star: All eligible photo entries that meet our basic criteria (appropriate content, high-quality image, etc.) will be included somewhere in the calendar — because every pet deserves to shine!


Almost Home Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming homeless pets in Lucas County and the surrounding areas.

At AHAR, we provide:

• Safe shelter and care for stray and surrendered pets
• Low-cost spay/neuter programs and vaccine clinics
• A community pet food pantry

We rely on the support of volunteers, donors, and adopters to continue our work. Every dollar raised through events like our 2026 Calendar Contest directly supports food, medical care, and shelter for our animals.
