Grand Prize:
- The photo with the highest number of votes will be featured on the cover of the calendar AND as the "Pet of the Month" on one of the monthly pages.
- Original photo entry will be featured on Baypath Humane Society’s website and social media.
- The winner will receive two free calendars and a special gift basket filled with pet goodies.
Top 11 Winners:
- The next 11 photos with the highest votes will be featured as "Pet of the Month" on one of the monthly pages.
- Each winner will receive a free calendar.
Additional Winners:
During the competition, pictures with the most votes will be showcased on Baypath's website and social media pages.
How do I vote for a pet's photo?
Votes are $1 each, and all votes are tax-deductible. You can vote for your own pet's photo(s) as many times as you'd like!
Vote Online:
- Click on the "View Entries and Vote" link on the contest page.
- Search for the pet's name and click on their photo.
- Cast your vote(s) on the pet's page!
The deadline to cast votes online is 9:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. To increase your pet's chances, easily share your pet's photo entry on social media by using the buttons on their page. Encourage your friends and family to vote!
Vote by Phone:
- Phone Voting: Please email calendar@baypathhumane.org or call (508) 435-6938 and provide your phone number. A staff member will contact you to vote by phone using a credit card.
- Inquiry for phone votes must be received by 5:00 PM PDT on October 28, 2025
How will I know if I won?
The winners of each category will be announced via email. You can also check the leaderboard on the contest page to see how your pet's photo is doing in the contest.
Rules & Guidelines
Please review before submitting — entries that do not meet the requirements may be disqualified, or you may be asked to replace the image with an eligible photo prior to printing. If contacted, you must provide an alternate eligible photo within 48 hours of the contest closing date.
Eligibility
- Open to cats and dogs only (photos may include multiple pets).
- Pets do not need to be adopted from Baypath or live in Massachusetts.
- Entries must be submitted by the pet’s owner.
Photo Requirements
- High-resolution (minimum 1 MB, 300 dpi) JPG or PNG files only.
- Landscape photos are preferred; portrait photos may be cropped into a square if selected.
- No people, collages, borders, text overlays, filters, or visible photographer watermarks.
- The pet should be the main subject, in focus, and safely depicted.
- Photos must be appropriate, non-explicit, and free of prong/shock collars.
- Entries that include people or do not meet eligibility criteria will not be eligible for inclusion in the calendar.
Approval & Quality
- If a winning photo is low-quality, blurry, or unsuitable for printing, Baypath may request a replacement image of the same pet(s).
- If contacted for replacement, entrants must provide an eligible photo within 48 hours of the contest’s close.
Permissions & Rights
- Entrants must own or have permission to use the submitted photo.
- All submitted photos become the property of Baypath Humane Society and may be used for marketing or promotional purposes.
