Photos should contain pets only—birds, cats, chickens, dogs, ferrets, fish, guinea pigs, gerbils, goats, horses, lizards, pot belly pigs, rabbits, reptiles, snakes, among others—no people in the photo.
The minimum donation for submitting a photo to enter the Buchanan County Animal Shelter’s Photo Contest Fundraiser is $10 per photo. You may submit as many photographs as you like.
To submit photos, click on the Participate tab above and follow the directions to upload a photograph of your pet. Photos will be accepted starting at 12:00 pm CST on July 1, 2016 and entries must be received by July 31, 2016, 9:00pm CST.
$1 per vote, minimum $5 donation (5 votes). When you donate to vote, you will receive a "bank" of votes that then need to be applied to the entries you wish to vote for. You can place all votes on one entry or place them on multiple entries.
To vote, click on the Participate tab above. The online voting period will start at 12 pm CST July 1, 2016 and end on July 31, 2016, 9:00pm CST.
If you submit a photo to the contest, you can email links to your family and friends to encourage voting for your photo. - On your pet's public page, there is a "share" button that allows you to share your entry through Facebook and other social networking sites. Ask all of your friends and family to vote for your favorite photo and Share! Share! Share!
Buchanan County Animal Shelter is a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible.
