Rules/Guidelines: Funds from the Chow Chow Rescue of Central New York (CCRCNY) photo contest will help us rescue, vet, and find good homes for dogs from shelters or rehoming situations. We are a registered 501(c)(3) charity in the United States, so your donations may be tax deductible.
Contestant Entry Information: Please submit photos of your indoor pet(s) of any species, any breed: cats, hedgehogs, rabbits or any other present or past pet that lives inside your home are welcome! No humans are allowed in the photos and all animals must be depicted in a humane and dignified manner. You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to enter and live in the United States or District of Columbia. The contest is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
How to Enter: There is a minimal $5 entry fee per photo; winners will be chosen by the photo that gets the highest number of votes (each vote is a $1.00 contribution). See “Voting Details” for more information.
Photos: All photos (not greater than 5 MB) must be digitally uploaded to
gogophotocontest.com/ccrcny2014 by following the directions provided. The best format is JPEG/JPG, but PNG and GIFs will also be accepted. Photo size should be at least 270 pixels x 180 pixels to minimize photo distortion when viewed online. Please note that cell phone photos will be accepted, however they do not offer the highest quality.
By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work created by you and that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your entry materials. No watermarked or copyrighted photos can be accepted. All submitted photos are subject to review by CCRCNY for inappropriate/offensive content. Inappropriate entries will not be permitted and any donations related to those submissions will not be refunded. All submitted photos and information become the property of CCRCNY to be used at their discretion for any and all marketing purposes without any additional compensation.
Once a photo is submitted, it will appear in the online gallery and be open to voting by the general public. Voting requires a minimum donation of $5 ($1/vote).
Contest Period: Photos can be submitted from 12:01 a.m. EST, Monday, December 1st through 9 p.m. EST, Monday, December 15, 2014 for public viewing. Votes, which are $1 each with a minimum of 5 votes per transaction, will be accepted on the CCRCNY contest website for this same time period. Votes are $1 each with a minimum of 5 votes per transaction. Top vote getters will win prizes as outlined in our prizes section.
Voting Details- Voters/donors must be legal residents of the US. and at least 18 years of age.
- Each transaction requires a $5 minimum. When you donate to vote, you will receive a "bank” of votes for the amount of your donation (ex. $5 donation equals 5 votes) that then need to be applied to the entries you wish to vote for. You can place all votes on one entry or place them on multiple entries.
- We encourage you to e-mail the contest link to family and friends and encourage them to vote for your favorite contestant's photo.
- All donations are non-refundable and must be made via the online contest page. Contest payments online are through a secure site.
Prizes: The selection process will be determined by electronic tabulations under the supervision of GoGo Photo Contest, whose decisions are final and binding. CCRCNY is not responsible for any technical problems or for late, lost, incomplete, stolen or misdirected entries.
Winner Notification: The winners will be notified by email or phone on or about December 16, 2014.
Agreement to Official Rules: Participation in the Contest constitutes full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein. In accepting any prize, the winner acknowledges that the CCRCNY may not be held liable for any loss, damages or injury associated with accepting or using prize(s).
