Deafinitely Dogs! trains and places Service and Professional Facility Dogs! Our dogs are the heart and soul of our organization. We use only positive reinforcement training while allowing our dogs to choose the type of work they enjoy doing and develop those skills. Our dogs get to not only pick the job they do but we take it a step further and allow them to pick the person they work with. This produces thriving teams! Better together because of each other.
Since COVID has infiltrated our country 2 years ago, the requests for PTSD/Psychiatric Service Dogs and Professional Facility Dogs has escalated. COVID has impacted mental health and medical care workers, people dealing with isolation, fear and loss and mental health throughout our communities. Deafinitely Dogs! made the decision to suspend some of our Service Dog types and focus our efforts over the next several years to assist these requests. We are one of the few organizations that places PTSD Service Dogs with both Veterans and non Veterans. This is important as we look into the future needs for Nurses, Doctors, EMTs, Psychologists and Therapists and others who will be looking for alternative solutions dealing with mental health either for themselves or for their clients.
