EBHS reserves the right to modify or clarify any of the contest rules during the term of the contest without advance notice.

Rules –Photo Submission

The contest is open to anyone.
Photos of any household pet accepted.
Each entry requires a $5 donation to EBHS.
Your photo can only contain one pet per photo. If you have multiple pets you want to enter, you will have to submit a separate entry for each of your pets.
Your photo entry does not have to be of a rescue pet.
Write pet's name, age, and breed on entry as we will print this on the calendar. Also, let us know if they were a rescue animal, whether from EBHS or another facility.
We encourage you to share your entry and encourage others to vote, vote, vote!
All online photo entries must be submitted by 11:59:00 PM (Central Time) on Monday, July 10, 2023.
Photos must be high resolution — 300 dpi or higher in PNG or JPG format — and no greater than 5MB. The better the quality, the better chance on getting votes! We cannot accept any copyrighted photos.
Photos must only contain domestic pets (no people or wildlife).
Photos must be full-color, no heavily filtered, edited, or altered photos.
Once entered, photos and pet stories become the property of EBHS to be used for print and marketing purposes, including publication on social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram.
Public votes for photo entries can be submitted between 12:00:00 AM (Central Time) on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 and 5:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Thursday, July 20, 2023.
There is no limit to the number of times you can vote.

Voting Fees

Voting ends 5:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Thursday, July 20, 2023.
Each vote is $1.00; there is no limit to the number of votes one may cast. You may vote for your own photo and you may spread your votes across multiple animals.
The top 12 photos will be a featured photo in our 2024 calendar.
When you purchase your "votes" you are actually making a donation to help all of the animals that we care for at EBHS.
When you complete your transaction to purchase votes, you will receive a confirmation email which will serve as your proof of donation.
All donations are non-refundable.

Miscellaneous

We reserve the right to decline publication of any photograph for any reason. Should this happen, we will notify you and refund your entry fee if desired.
EBHS reserves the right to make all final decisions with regard to pet of the month and cover photo selections.
