We all love to show off photos of our hound dogs. Share your favorite photo of your basset hound or basset mix with our community of supporters through this fundraising contest. Help us create the GABR 2026 calendar by submitting your favorite Basset photos! Your dog does not have to be a GABR alum to enter. We welcome all basset hounds in the contest, and basset mixes, too! A $5 donation gets your hound's picture into the contest. Then it's time to rally the troops! Share on social media and get all your friends and relatives to vote for your pooch's photo. Voters will make a donation when selecting a favorite. The more donation votes your photo receives, the better your chances of making it into the 2026 calendar for a whole month of stardom!
Prizes
The top 12 "fan favorites", or photos with the most votes, will win a coveted page in the 2026 GABR Calendar.
The first-place winner will grace the COVER of our 2026 calendar, in addition to be featured as December’s calendar girl/boy.
All proceeds go to help Guardian Angel Basset Rescue save more basset hounds.
GABR reserves the right to select the month allocated to the winners.

- You can have multiple dogs per photo but only one of the dogs will be eligible for voting per picture
- Must be a Basset/Basset mix

At Guardian Angel Basset Rescue (GABR), our mission is simple: we rescue Basset Hounds in need, giving them a second chance at a happy life.
Once a Basset comes into our care, we provide essential veterinary treatment—our biggest expense—to ensure they’re healthy and ready for their next chapter. From there, they go to one of our incredible foster homes, where they receive love, care, and a chance to heal. These foster families are the heart of our organization, and without them, none of this would be possible.
After getting to know each dog’s personality and needs, our dedicated adoption coordinators work to find them the perfect forever home.
