Candid Canines Contest

Do you have an awesome dog you want to share with the world? Well, you've come to the right place! Over the next two weeks, HSCC will be accepting your very best canine photos and asking the community to vote for their favorite. The canine with the most votes will earn the coveted People's Choice award and have their photo featured in Seven Days magazine and on Local 22 & Local 44 at the conclusion of the contest. HSCC employees will also award the Staff Pick, whose photo will be showcased in magazine and the news segment.

Each entry and vote supports the Humane Society of Chittenden County and strengthens our ability to provide vital community programs & services. In addition to caring for more than 1,000 animals each year, your support aids our humane investigations, enhances our education programs for all ages, fuels our surrender prevention programs designed to help keep families and their pets together, and so much more!

You don't need to be a HSCC alum to enter - all canines are welcome!

How to Enter:
All eligible entrants can enter for a chance to win by submitting a $30 donation to HSCC and photo of their canine on the submission page. Entries will be accepted between 8:00am am EST May 18, 2020 and 11:59 pm EST June 1, 2020. All entries become the property of the Humane Society of Chittenden County. We will not offer entry fee refunds.

How to Vote:
$1 = 1 Vote! You may vote as often as you like. Example: Give $20 for 20 votes, $25 for 25 votes and $100 for 100 votes! The photo with the most votes wins the People's Choice category!

Prizes:
Winning photos will be featured in both Seven Days magazine and showcased on Local 22 & Local 44 the week of June 8th!

Two (2) winners will be selected. Employees of the Humane Society of Chittenden County will select a "Staff Pick" winner. In addition, the entrant that receives the most votes through our Candid Canines Contest will be named a "People's Choice" winner. The winners will be notified by email or telephone. If a winner is unreachable after five (5) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected.

About Us:
The Mission of the Humane Society of Chittenden County (HSCC) is to foster compassionate treatment of animals and prevent animal suffering; to strengthen the human-animal bond; and to further the cause of responsible animal ownership through education and public awareness.
