If you've always wanted to see your pet's inoa and minoʻaka in the spotlight, our Pauahi's Pets Photo Contest is for you! The contest runs September 15 through October 13 and we hope you'll be part of the fun! There are two ways you can participate:- Enter the contest! Open to EVERYONE! Just want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your pet. This can be for your pet's adoption anniversary, birthday, loved one's birthday, memorial or really any special day! Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! First come first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.
The reserve-a-day is in no way connected to an entry into the donate-to-vote contest. The two features are mutually exclusive. This means you can participate in one, or the other, or both! And you can choose different photos. The hard part will be deciding which ones!

- Sessions are early morning (at sunrise) or late afternoon
- Must be used before May 2025 and dependent on mutual availability of photographer and winner
- Custom made lei for the winning entry pet(s), presented at the photography session

*In the event the minimum number of entrants in a category is not met, we reserve the right to select alternate winners based on the next highest votes.
Lastly, if your pet photo does not win, not to worry, there will be a spot for all entries in the calendar!

Online photo entries and voting will be accepted from 8:00:00 AM (Hawaiian Time) on Sunday, September 15, 2024 through 8:00:00 PM (Hawaiian Time) on Sunday, October 13, 2024.

Eligibility:
Anyone can enter. Winners who do not live on O'ahu may need to pay for shipping of the prizes.
Our photo contest welcomes pictures of all cats, dogs, equines, and small pets.
You may enter a photo of a pet that has passed away. However, due to potential issues with photo quality, we recommend that you only enter if you can guarantee that your photo meets the guidelines below and you understand the risk of forfeiture.**
Entering:
Unlimited photo entries! Enter as many times as you like for a $10 donation per entry.
Photo Guidelines:
- Pets only, no humans
- Photos may contain more than one pet
- Color photos only, that must not be edited or altered other than minor color, contrast, or sharpness adjustments
- While not required to enter, you may consider submitting a photo with higher resolution. Ideally, having a height or width of at least 1836 pixels would be preferred.
- Photographs must be original and entrants must be the sole owner of the photograph.
- Photos with professional photographer watermarks will not be eligible to be included in the calendar.
- We reserve the right to remove any pictures for any reason. Should this happen, we will notify you and refund your entry fee if desired.
- Once photos are entered, you are granting the right to use them at our discretion for print and marketing purposes.
**If your photo does not meet the quality print requirements (height or width of at least 1836 pixels), you risk forfeiting your photo being in the printed calendar. If your pet wins the Pet of the Month feature, and your photo is not of high quality, the calendar spot will be given to the runner-up.
We have final approval on all photos submitted and reserve the right to replace an animal's photograph to overcome production issues.
