How to Enter

Submit a favorite photo of your pet, then encourage your family and friends to vote for your pet's picture!
Photos must be horizontal (landscape), high-resolution (at least 1280 pixels wide), and a minimum of 1MB in size.
The entry fee is $30 per photo, and you’re welcome to enter as many times as you like!
Categories include dogs and cats.
Only cats and dogs are eligible for submission. As the Kaua‘i Humane Society is dedicated specifically to the care, sheltering, and support of cats and dogs, our calendar contest is focused on the animals we serve through our programs and services.
The #1 overall vote-getter will be featured on the cover of the 2027 Kaua‘i Humane Society Calendar.
The next top 6 cats and top 6 dogs will be featured as a Pet of the Month inside the calendar. All monthly feature winners will be assigned a calendar month at random and cannot request a specific month.
Plus, all photo entries with 5 votes or more are GUARANTEED inclusion in the calendar or on the collage pages!
Photo submissions and voting open: 12:00 AM (Hawaiian Time) on Monday, June 1, 2026
Deadline to submit and vote: 8:00 PM (Hawaiian Time) on Sunday, August 30, 2026
No humans in photos – pets only please!
Photos may include more than one pet, but only one prize package will be awarded per winning entry.
Your pet does not need to be adopted from the Kaua‘i Humane Society or located on Kaua’i to participate.
Photos that do not meet the technical or content requirements may be disqualified. Please view our contest rules here.
