How to Enter:
To enter the contest, click on the "Participate" tab above.
Contest Entry and Campaign Dates: Monday, August 27, 6:00 a.m. through Monday, October 1, 10:00 p.m. CST. You may enter the contest at any time during this period.
Entry donations are $20 per calendar photo contest entry and include five votes to start your sweet pet off in the competition. There is a five-vote minimum, which costs $5.
All photos must be uploaded. Photos cannot be taken by professionals. Photos must be of high-resolution and quality as winning entries for the calendar will be blown up to 8"x 10" size for publication – the better the picture the better the photo in the calendar. There can be no "special effects" added to the photos. If your photo appears to be too grainy you will be notified.
The Calendar Photo Contest is open to pets of all species.
The animal(s) entered in the contest must be living in the care of the person submitting the entry. (The photo calendar contest is meant to celebrate the pets who are with us. Consider reserving a calendar date in memory of an animal who has passed away. See information on the Home Page).
There can be only one pet in the photo entered in the contest. However, you may enter multiple animals in the contest, paying the $20 entry donation for each pet, and each animal will earn his/her own votes.
Cats, dogs, and horses competing in the contest must have been rescued, adopted or currently living in permanent foster homes. No cats, dogs, or horses are permitted in the contest if purchased from breeders or stores. Other animals can have come from any source. There can be no pictures including people in the contest – only pets.
Even pets who don't win the contest will have small pictures included in the calendar.
Once entered, photo submissions become the property of Kindred Kitties to be used at our discretion for print and marketing purposes.
Kindred Kitties reserves the right to remove photo entries that are inappropriate or do not follow the rules of the contest. If this happens, we will contact you to see if the photo can be replaced with a new one.
How to Win (Voting):
To vote online, click the "Participate" tab above. Each vote costs $1, and there is no limit to the number of votes one may cast. You must donate a minimum of $5 for five votes. Those votes can then be cast for any submitted photo in one-vote increments. Voters do not have to use all the votes at the time of donation. When voters donate, they will be given the option of applying all the votes to one photo, spreading their votes over various photos, or storing votes in their account.
All votes must be applied to selected photos by the conclusion of the voting period to be counted.
Entrants are welcome to vote for their own photo.
Online voting begins as soon as a photo is registered and ends at 10:00 p.m. CST on October 1, 2018.
Be sure to email a link to your photo(s) to friends and family asking them to vote for your lovable pet. Also let them know that their votes help with the care of homeless cats and kittens.

All votes are donations to Kindred Kitties and are fully tax deductible as permitted by law. All donors will receive receipts for their contributions.
All donations are non-refundable.
Contest winners will be notified by email or phone call.
All proceeds from the Calendar Photo Contest and Calendar Sales will go toward the care of Kindred Kitties' cats and kittens.
