What are the fees for the contest?
- It's $20 to enter your pet. This includes your first five votes.
- It's $10 to reserve a date square in the calendar for your pet.
- It costs $1 per vote. There is a five-vote minimum, which costs $5.
How many pets may I enter?
You may enter multiple pets in a photo if you'd like or, you can enter as many pets individually as you'd like. Single photos containing multiple pets are still $20. However, each photo of individual pets will require the $20 entry fee, and each individual pet will receive his or her own separate votes.
(If entering a photo of multiple pets during the entry process put both pet's names on the appropriate line and both pet's ages on the age line).
Can I drop off my photo entry or votes at the Kindred Kitties' Adoption Center?
Sorry, but the contest is only online.
How are the votes tracked?
The company running the contest tabulates the votes electronically, and totals are posted.
Can I enter a pet in the contest who has passed away?
The calendar is meant to celebrate the pets who are with us, so no. However, you can reserve a date square in memory of a departed pet. See the Home Page for more information on reserving a date.
Do the pets on the Reserved Dates have to be rescued/adopted?
No, any pet can have his/her picture on a Reserved Date. Please be sure there is only one pet in the Reserved Date photo as they are going on small squares, and you'll want to be sure everyone can see your adorable pet.
What if I enter my pet in the contest and he or she doesn't win?
All pets entered in the contest will have a small picture somewhere in the calendar.
How can I get a copy of the calendar?
You can pre-order calendars on the Home Page. We can ship the calendar to you for an additional charge, or you can pick the calendar up at the Kindred Kitties' Adoption Center. There may be a few extra calendars at the Adoption Center, but we appreciate the pre-orders so we don't have any calendars left. Also, don't forget if you enter your pet in the contest and receive at least 150 votes you will get a calendar for free.
As we're starting the contest earlier this year, we hope to have the calendars available at the Kindred Kitties Adoption Center (or mailed) by Thanksgiving.
