We adopted Gizmo from LPCHS in October of 2021. He is a "Gizmo," indeed. We adopted him so that our other rescue dog has some company and a playmate, and they do play, lie down together, and are the best of friends.

Gizmo is hilarious - part demon some days, part sweet saint on other days, but he always brings us joy and lots of laughter and smiles. He LOVES his toys. Dibbs, his adopted brother, he doesn't really play with toys, but on occasion, just to mess with Gizmo, he will take Gizmo's toy from him. Gizmo's favorite toy is the one that Dibbs has custody of in that moment. It is such a sibling dynamic.

We are grateful that LPCHS facilitated us being Gizmo's guardians. We can't imagine life without him. I think I am his familiar. This photo was taken in our dining area, and Gizmo actually stayed still for it. I think it encapsulates his ever curious personality perfectly.
