Official Woofs & Whiskers Calendar Photo Contest Rules
Eligibility: The Woofs & Whiskers Calendar Photo Contest (the "Contest") is open to all legal U.S. residents who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law or regulations.
How to enter: Visit http://gogophotocontest.com/lpchumanesociety , follow the link and directions to upload a photograph of your pet/s along with up to 200 words describing your photo. To be eligible for the Contest, online entries must be received between 12:00:00 PM (Mountain Time) on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 and 9:00:00 PM (Mountain Time) on Thursday, August 31, 2023 (the "Contest Period”). All entries and requests become the property of La Plata County Humane Society (LPCHS) and will not be acknowledged or returned.
- Digital photos will be accepted online beginning at noon, 12:00:00 PM (Mountain Time) on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 until 9:00:00 PM (Mountain Time) on Thursday, August 31, 2023.
- Votes are $1 each, with a minimum of 5 votes per transaction. Votes will be accepted from 12:00:00 PM (Mountain Time) on Saturday, August 5, 2023 until 9:00:00 PM (Mountain Time) on Thursday, August 31, 2023. Votes may be applied to one entry, or spread over several entries.
- Complete the entry form and submit your photo in a JPEG, JPG, or PNG format. All photos must be in focus and of good quality (brightness and contrast). Preferred resolution is a minimum of 2550 pixels wide by 3300 pixels high, higher resolution is even better.
- Photos with less than 2000 x 1500 pixel resolution will not be accepted since they do not result in a clear and sharp full page calendar photo.
- All submitted photos are subject to review by LPCHS for inappropriate/offensive content (those entries will not be permitted and a refund will not be provided).
- Photos may contain one or multiple animals- photos containing humans will not be accepted.
- While minor color, contrast, or sharpness adjustments are acceptable, “photoshopped” images or images that have used a digital filter will not be accepted.
- Photographs may not be embellished with text or art and must not be copyrighted or
watermarked. - Photographs must contain pets (owned animals).
- Photographs must include the name of the person who took the photo, as well as those featured in the photograph. Photographs taken by a minor must be submitted by a legal guardian.
- You can enter as many pets as you like, but duplicate entries of the same pet, will not be accepted.
- All submitted photos and information become the property of LPCHS to be used at our discretion for any and all marketing purposes without any compensation.
- All donations are non-refundable. Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. All online payments are made through a secure site- both credit and debit card transactions will be accepted.
- Entrants/winners must be legal residents of the US at the time of the competition entry. Entrants/winners under the age of 18 must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
- LPCHS is not responsible for any technical problems or for late, incomplete, stolen, or misdirected entries.
- Deemed Winners will be notified no later than 5 days after the contest has closed.
Photo with the highest number of votes by 9:00pm on August 31, 2023 will Receive a 1 hour session with a professional photographer, Cassidy Crisp of Crisp Clicks, unlimited access to all digital prints from this session and photo placement on the cover of the LPCHS 2024 calendar and month of the
entry owner’s choice.
The next 10 photos with the most votes will receive placement in the 2024 LPCHS calendar in the month assigned by LPCHS.
Each of these 10 winners will receive a complimentary calendar, provided to them by LPCHS no sooner than December 15th, 2023

Grant of Rights in Connection with the Contest
With regard to any image or content submitted, you agree to grant LPCHS, its legal representatives, successors, and assigns, the nonexclusive right and permission to use, modify, adapt, reproduce, publish, and distribute the photograph, or any portion thereof, throughout the world, in any printed form and by any kind of mechanical or electronic or any other method or device of reproduction, publication, and distribution known or later developed, and without notification or payment, in connection with LPCHS Woofs & Whiskers Calendar Photo Contest. LPCHS agrees that it will never sell the individual photograph outside of the Woofs & Whiskers Calendar sales or rights in the photograph to any individual or entity.
Liability
Releases are not responsible for printing, typographical, human or other errors of any kind in any Contest-related materials or for stolen, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, or illegible entries. If, for any reason, the Contests are not capable of running as planned, or infection by computer viruses, bugs, or tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, actions of entrants, technical failures, or any other causes corrupt or infect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contests, LPCHS reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any entry or entrant and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contests and at its sole discretion award a prize from among all eligible non-suspect entries validly received prior to the action requiring such modification. By entering, all Contestants agree that the Contests are governed by laws of the State of Colorado for the resolution of all claims and disputes (excluding any claims against or disputes involving parties other than the LPCHS relating to any prize awarded in the Contests).
