No, I don't want my pet's face on a beer label – said no one ever!
One pet's adorable mug will be featured on a beer label specially designed for Brown's Brewing Company's Oktoberfest beer. It will be available for pickup on Saturday, October 24, the day of our virtual Oktopurrfest celebration!
In addition, 10 lucky pets will be in the running for the title of Festmeister, to be selected with an exciting LIVE vote during the event.
Everyone will be able to watch the event, which will be streamed live on the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society's Facebook page starting at 6:00 pm.
Every pet's photo will be included during our Oktopurrfest celebration!Here's how it works:
- Enter your pet! The contest runs from August 24 through September 13, 2020.
- Entry is $10 per pet. Votes are $1 each. (There is a $5 minimum.)
- The pet with the most votes will be featured on the label and receive prizes, including two specially-labeled 4-packs of beer.
- Top 10 vote-getters will be in the running for esteemed title of Festmeister. Oktopurrfest viewers will vote in real time to name the 2020 Festmeister. Winner will reign for a full year!
The pet with the most votes will be featured on a custom-designed beer label. Winner will receive a framed print of label artwork, two 4-packs of beer and a gift basket with toys and treats. Festmeister winner will receive a Festmeister hat and gift basket!
What's a Festmeister?
The Festmeister is the ceremonial title for the one who presides over the celebration. While this Oktopurrfest honor is usually reserved exclusively for felines, extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures. This year, nominations are open to pets of all species.
