My dog is the coolest because...
Lola is 16 years young. She joined our family in 2005, in part, to assist our eldest daughter (who was 11 at the time) with her irrational fear of dogs. Over the years she has become a neighborhood icon as "Queen of the Court" presiding over all the goings on on our little street.

She is an avid traveler, joining us on many a trek across the US. She loves a good long car ride, discovering new cities, restaurants and wineries, a nice nap on the beach, and enjoying the sunshine on any brewery patio. Not only is she a seasoned traveler, but she's also quite the sports fanatic. She's seen her fair share of softball and soccer games, cross country meets, been kayaking, motor boating in the Finger Lakes of NY and even enjoyed a good ride behind a bicycle.

Lola has seen all three of her human "sisters" off to college and onto graduation. She adores visiting them in their new homes as the girls begin their own life journeys, forever greeting them with a thorough sniffing and robust tail-less butt wiggle.

Our girl has certainly enjoyed a good long life, sharing all kinds of experiences and love with "her people" as well as "her people's people." She has recently been diagnosed with an intestinal disorder. She has many good days and the occasional not so good, but always greets us with that sweet face and infamous butt wiggle. We often wonder how she doesn't dislocate a hip!

Lola would love nothing more than to be featured on a great craft brew as she sprouts wings and sails into her own perfect heaven filled with all the carrots you can eat. (Her absolute favorite treat.) The icing on the cake is knowing she is supporting the wellbeing of children and pets across Northeast Wisconsin.
