It's easy to participate!
This fun-filled contest benefits pets and children in Northeast Wisconsin and features two rounds: a local round and a championship round.
During the local round, dog owners will pay
$10 to enter their pup into their favorite shelter's photo contest.
Thanks to very generous support from Fleet Farm, all contest entrants and voters will receive a coupon for $10 off of a $50 purchase at Fleet Farm locations. After registration, contestants will encourage their friends and family to vote for their canine companion
(votes are just $1 each). At the end of the local round, the top 10 dogs from each of the six contests will (a). win some really cool prizes, and (b). automatically move into the championship round for a chance to win more prizes – including cash!
At the onset of the championship round, all votes will reset to zero. It's anyone's game! Participants will continue to encourage votes for their furry friends. After six days of voting, the championship round will come to an end, and the top vote-earning dog will be crowned the NEW Top Dog for 2022.
Why enter?
Aside from bragging rights, there are a number of reasons to enter this contest!
- YOUR DOG ON A BEER: The winning dog from each of the six local contests will become the face of their very own beer! They'll even get to participate in the naming and brewing process! In each of the six contests, the 2nd-10th place dogs will also have their photos featured on the beer can or bottle.
- PRIZES: The top 10 dogs from each of the local contests will win a variety of prize packages (see each individual shelter's contest page for local prizes). These dogs will also advance to the championship round as representatives of the shelter whose contest they entered.
- CASH: At the end of the championship round, the top 3 dogs will win significant cash prizes and gift cards – check it out!
- In the championship round, the shelter with the most votes across all 10 dogs representing their shelter will win a $5,000 cash prize!
- PETS AND KIDS: Proceeds from this contest will benefit the participating shelters and Kiwanis.
Important Dates
- September 10: Contest registration opens
- September 18: Local round voting begins!
- October 9: Registration ends, local round voting ends and the local winners are crowned!
- October 10: Championship round voting begins
- October 16: Championship round voting ends, and the NEW Top Dog is crowned!
