Rules

The Napa Humane Dog Treat Label Contest invites community members to submit photos of their dogs for a chance to be featured on Napa Humane’s official dog treat bag labels.

Five (5) winning dogs will each receive a custom treat bag label featuring their photo. Winning treat bags will be available through Napa Humane’s clinic, events, and select local retailers.

This contest supports Napa Humane’s Power of Prevention programs, including spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and microchipping services.

The contest begins at 12:01 AM (PT) on April 1, 2026 and ends at 11:59 PM (PT) on April 30, 2026.

All entries and votes must be received within this timeframe.

• Open to individuals 18 years or older
• Entrants must be legal residents of the United States
• Dogs must be owned pets (no breeder or commercial submissions)
• Domestic dogs only
• No unaltered (intact) male dogs are permitted

Napa Humane reserves the right to verify eligibility.
• Submit your dog’s photo through the official contest platform via the Participate tab
• Entry fee: $30 per submission
• Each entry includes:
          o One (1) photo submission
          o Ten (10) votes

Each dog must be entered separately. Multiple entries are allowed with separate fees.

Entry fees are non-refundable.
• Voting is conducted online only
• Each $1 donation = one (1) vote
• Minimum vote purchase: $5 (5 votes)
• Participants may vote multiple times
• Votes may be allocated to one or multiple entries

All vote donations are:
• Non-refundable
• Tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law

Voting closes at 11:59 PM (PT) on April 30, 2026.
• The five (5) entries receiving the highest number of votes will be declared winners
• In the event of a tie, Napa Humane staff will determine the winner
• Winners will be announced after voting closes
To ensure photos are suitable for print on treat bag labels, all submissions must meet the following requirements:

Photo Content
• Dogs only (no people or other animals)
• Multiple dogs allowed in one image
• Dogs must wear a collar with visible tags
• No farm animals or wildlife

If a collar is not visible, Napa Humane reserves the right to add or adjust one for design purposes.

Image Quality
• High-resolution image suitable for print (300 dpi recommended)
• File format: .jpg or .png only
• No screenshots
• No blurry, dark, or heavily shadowed images

Editing & AI Policy
Photos must be original and authentic.

The following are not permitted:
• Filters or digital overlays
• Text, logos, frames, or watermarks
• Collages or composite images
• Heavy photo manipulation
• AI-generated or AI-enhanced images

Any image that violates these guidelines may be disqualified.
Five (5) winners will receive:
• A custom Napa Humane dog treat bag label featuring their dog
• Treat bags featuring their dog
• Additional prizes as outlined on the contest website

Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash.
By entering, participants grant Napa Humane a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use submitted photos for:
• Treat bag labels
• Marketing and promotional materials
• Social media and website content
• Print and digital publications
• Future fundraising campaigns

Napa Humane may edit, crop, or adjust images as needed.

Entrants retain personal rights to their photos.Napa Humane reserves the right to disqualify any entry that:
• Does not comply with contest rules
• Contains inappropriate or objectionable content
• Depicts unsafe or irresponsible pet ownership
• Violates any applicable laws or regulations

Disqualified entries will not receive refunds.• Napa Humane reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the contest if necessary
• By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these rules and all decisions of Napa Humane
• Napa Humane is not responsible for technical errors, lost entries, or system failures
