Golden Moments Photo Contest

This Community Support Month, ONE CARE invites you to celebrate the power of joy, hope, and gratitude through photography. The Golden Moments Photo Contest is a community fundraiser where you can share your favourite photo and help support programs and services that help older adults and people with health challenges to live at home with independence and dignity.

How it works:

Submit your photo for $5 and share what joy, hope, or gratitude means to you.
Invite friends and family to vote for your entry — each vote is $1, with every dollar going directly to ONE CARE.
The top three photos will receive a VISA gift card!

Every photo tells a story, and every vote makes a difference. Together, let’s shine a light on the moments that matter most.

Funds raised through the contest will go directly towards clients in need of financial subsidy, and the purchase and maintenance of essential program equipment and facilities. For more information about ONE CARE, visit onecaresupport.ca

Rules

Anyone can enter the contest (amateur and professional photographers welcome).
Each entry includes one photo, but you can submit as many entries as you’d like.
We will not accept stock photos.
Your photo must be high-resolution.
Photos must represent joy, hope, or gratitude.
Any subject matter is welcome (people, places, pets, nature, etc.), as long as it fits the theme.
Once entered, photos become the property of ONE CARE and may be used for marketing purposes and other resources, including social media.
By submitting your photo, you are confirming that general consent of any individuals in the image was obtained when their photo was taken by you.
All photo submissions will be displayed online. Once a photo is uploaded, it will appear in the online gallery on our contest website and will be open to voting by the general public.
ONE CARE reserves the right to disqualify at any time any photo it determines to be unsuitable.
Each entry costs $5 which will give you your first 5 votes. You can enter any time after 7:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 until 10:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Friday, October 31, 2025.
Each vote costs $1 with a minimum of 5 votes per transaction. Voting will open at 7:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 until 10:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Friday, October 31, 2025.
Winners will be determined by popular vote.
All votes are charitable donations to ONE CARE. All participants whose donations total $20.00 or more during the full time of the contest will receive an emailed receipt for their total contribution.
Contest donations are processed by a secure payment processor. You can donate using all major credit cards and Visa and MasterCard debit cards.
