On behalf of the Portage Park District Foundation and the Madonio Family Animal Welfare Trust, THANK YOU for your generous support and enthusiasm for the PERFECT POOCH OF PORTAGE contest. We so enjoyed watching the competition and following all the dogs. We can, without a doubt, attest to the fact that all the dogs entered in the contest are PERFECT POOCHES! We will be in contact with the owners of the winning dogs to coordinate prizes and photos.

We're having a POOCH PARTYPALOOZA (open to the public and to the pooches) on May 11, 2019 from Noon to 2:00 p.m. at Towner's Woods. Contestant owners will get a complimentary beer/beverage and some other free give-aways. So we hope that the pooches, pooch parents, and pooch patrons will join us for a little celebration. All proceeds from the party will be equally shared with the Portage Park District Foundation and the Madonio Family Animal Welfare Trust.

We want to thank our brew sponsor—Thirsty Dog Brewing Company--for their generous donations and support. We also want to thank our other sponsors: Treno Ristorante, Portage Community Bank, Brimfield Insurance Group, and Nelson and Suzanne Burns.

The dollars raised through this campaign will be dedicated to a trail development fund for the Portage Park District Foundation and to support animal welfare for the Madonio Family Animal Welfare Trust.

Through your awesome participation, we have proven that Portage County does indeed hold the record for having the PERFECT POOCHES in the entire universe.

Rules

The PERFECT POOCH OF PORTAGE PHOTO CONTEST is open to anyone who would like to enter their dog to compete for the coveted title of "Perfect Pooch of Portage" for 2019.

To enter the contest, go to our website:

Submit a photo of your dog and provide a short description (100 words maximum) of why your dog is the perfect pooch. Photos should be digital and sharp enough to look good on the internet. No photos of people, just your amazing dog.

There is a $10 fee to post your dog, but you automatically receive 10 votes when you enter your dog. If you have multiple dogs, you will need to take separate photos of each and post them separately. The $10 posting fee applies for each dog you enter.

Dog owners are encouraged to have their friends, relatives, and co-workers go to the contest website and vote for their dog.

Votes cost $1.00 per vote with no maximum on how many votes a person can buy. For example, you can give 100 votes to your favorite dog by donating $100 in a single transaction via the website and come back to the site as many times as you want and donate votes as often as you would like.

Dog owners themselves will be able to buy as many votes as they would like too.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will be administered by the Portage Park District Foundation and the net proceeds will be awarded equally to the Madonio Family Animal Welfare Trust and the Portage Park District Foundation for the purposes of animal welfare and public trail development.
