The contestant with the most votes at the close of the contest will be the first place winner. They will receive a professional photoshoot with Winding River photographer, Carol Bridges and an 8x10 print.

In addition to the photoshoot the first place winner’s photo will have the privilege of being placed on the cover of our 2026 Pets of Winding River calendar. The winner will also receive a calendar.

2^nd and 3^rd place winners will receive a professional photoshoot with Winding River Photographer, Carol Bridges and a 5x7 print.

In addition to the photoshoot, 2^nd and 3^rd place winners will each receive the month of their choice in which their pet photo will be printed in our 2026 Pets of Winding River calendar. Both will also receive a calendar.

4^th thru 13^th place will each receive the month of their choice (in order of how you place) in which their pet photo will be printed in our 2026 Pets of Winding River calendar. All will receive a calendar.

Welcome to the Pets of Winding River, 2^nd annual photo contest. We are excited to create a "Fun in the Sun" themed, "Pets of Winding River 2026 Calendar."

Pets are encouraged to enter the calendar contest and fundraise for our Winding River Paws for a Cause Interest group. The top 13 fundraisers will win a coveted spot in our 2026 Pets of Winding River calendar. The pet or pets photo with the most votes will be featured on the cover and the 12 pet photos with the next highest amount of votes will be featured in one of the images for each calendar month. Runners up will be featured on a collage page. This will be based on top votes for “non-prime” spots.

Voting for your favorite pet wil help them win a spot in the calendar. $1 = 1 Vote. Be sure to utilize your “vote bank”, which allows you to easily distribute votes to contestants as you browse the contest.

Show your support for the Winding River Paws for a Cause Interest group by participating in this special fundraiser. All donations will support our lifesaving program which helps ensure that shelter animals are given a second chance to live happy, healthy lives with loving families.

All Winding River pets are encouraged to enter the contest to win a spot in our 2026 Pets of Winding River calendar.  All pets must be residents of Winding River. In order to enter your pet(s), you must include:

• Your Pets Name
• Your first and last name
• Your contact information (address, phone, email address)
• A bio of your pet (120 word max) that tells the story of your pet. This may be included in the 13 top calendar feature pages.
• While not required to enter, you may consider submitting a photo with a height or width of 1836 pixels.

All contestants must submit their photo to GoGo Photo Contest website. We cannot accept applications or photos in person at this time. All types of pets are eligible to enter the contest. (no wildlife please). All contestants must be entered in the competition by 11:59:59 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, June 1, 2025. Don’t delay!! The sooner you enter the more votes you can achieve.

The entry fee for each contestant is $5.00. While multiple pets can be entered under one contestant page, we highly recommend pet owners to enter each pet separately. Each $1 donation will count as one vote to the selected contestant.

Donors must donate a minimum of $5 (or 5 votes). A large amount of votes can be stored in the donor’s “vote bank” which can be distributed at a later time and to multiple contestants before the contest ends.

Do I need to enter my pet in the contest in order to have his/her photo featured in the calendar? NO-guaranteed pre-paid “date blocks” for specific dates can be purchased. The slot selected will be on a first come first served basis. You might consider buying a slot for your pets birthday, gotcha day or a special day in your life.

The Winding River Paws for a Cause interest group is a 501c3 charitable organization. All donations are final and non-refundable.

• Acceptable picture formats are .jpg, .png, and .gif.
• Pictures must be in color
• The pet featured in the picture may not be edited or altered, other than minor color, contrast or sharpness adjustments.
• Pictures must not be copyrighted. Photos with profession photographer watermarks will not be eligible.
• Any image that includes content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent, or obscene as determined by WR Paws for a Cause may be removed from the contest.
   

Please visit https://www.gogophotocontest.com/petsofwindingriverphotocontest and follow the directions to upload a photograph of our pet along with up to 120 words describing your photo. By uploading your photo you give Winding River Paws for a Cause all rights to print, publish and reproduce the image.

Winners will be determined by the number of votes received per contestant. Once a photo is submitted, it will appear in the online gallery and will be open to voting by the general public. The voting period ends at 11:59:59 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, June 1, 2025. Votes must be registered by the online system before the deadline in order to be counted for the contest. If you are submitting votes close to the deadline, please keep in mind that processing time is necessary to register votes. We recommend using your vote bank to ensure that credit card processing has happened before the deadline. It is best not to wait until the last 30 minutes of the contest to submit a large number of votes

To vote go to the contestant page you wish to support and donate a minimum of $5 for five votes. When voters donate, they will be given the option to apply all their votes to one contestant, spread their votes over various contestants or store votes in a “vote bank” to be used at a later time. The 3 contestants with the most votes (donations) at the end of the voting period will win a special photoshoot with Winding River Photographer, Carol Bridges. The contestant with the most votes will be featured on the cover of the 2026 Pets of WR Calendar. The 12 pets with the next highest amount of votes will be displayed in one of the images for a calendar month.

We expect a great deal of participation in our 2^nd annual photo/calendar contest for Winding River. To help you have the best chance of winning, we’ve gathered a few tips and hints to help you become a winner.

• Use the social media links within the contest to promote your pet to your friends and family, and encourage them to share on their pages as well. Remember the more people who know about your entry the more likely you are to win. Votes can come from anywhere in the world-not just Winding River.
• Create business cards with your direct link to pass out wherever you go over the 11 week campaign period. Sites like Vistaprint offer specials all the time so be on the lookout.
• Get cash sponsorship! You can collect cash donations for your pet from friends, family, acquaintances, co-workers, then simply appy the amounts yourself using your own log in information and credit card. This is one of the easiest ways to get support because you are collecting the funds directly and supporters do not have to create teir own account. Most people will be happy to support Paws for a Cause and you can collect any amount from $1-$1,000.00! • Consider a “campaign party” with friends and family to raise money for your pet!
• And finally, the most important thing you can do to increase donations for your pet, is to remind people that every vote is a donation to the Winding River Paws for a Cause interest group. All of our support is reliant strictly on donations from our community and our friends and family. Without you we would not succeed! Thank you for your support-we cannot do it without you!!
   

The winning participants will be contacted by the Winding River Paws for a Cause Fundraising Committee. It will also be viewable on the GoGo website upon completion of the competition.
