Welcome to the Ruff Start Rescue Society 2025 Calendar Contest. This contest is open to all pets that live in Southern Alberta. Proceeds from the photo contest and the sale of the calendar will benefit Ruff Start Rescue Society with costs related to veterinary services, food, enrichment and training supplies, pet toys and beds, and transportation.

RSRS rescues dogs and other pets from difficult situations, and matches them with their forever home. They are 100% volunteer run organization based out of Didsbury, Alberta and foster pets throughout the central and southern Alberta Region while they are finding the ideal home for them.

We encourage you to submit your favorite photo of your pet with a $10 donation. Family and friends can vote for their pet as much as they want. Voting donations are $1 each with a minimum of 5 votes. Please review the Contest Rules carefully for submission guidelines; those that do not follow these rules will not be eligible to win. Fees for photo entries and votes will help Ruff Start Rescue Society continue their efforts to provide a safe and loving environment for these animals, as well as to find them forever homes where they can thrive and be loved.

Each week of the six week long contest, the Southern Alberta pet with the most NEW votes will win a Mini-Contest prize package. Weekly prizes and their winners will be announced in a newsletter which will be sent to the email address you provide with your entry information.

The Weekly Mini-Competitions run from Thursday 9am MST to the following Thursday at 8:59:59 am MST, except in Week 6 when the weekly contest ends with the Calendar Contest at 8:59:59 pm MST on March 28^th, 2024.

Celebrate your dog’s, cat’s or other pet’s birthday, adoption day, or honor your pet in memoriam by reserving a date for their photo in the calendar grid. Choose your favorite photo, select a date, and submit a $20 donation below. The squares will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
