My Shelter In Place story
Family was always important for me, how important I really realized when COVID-19 put a hold on all travel and I had to cancel the trip back to my family in Germany and put a big question mark on when I can see them in person again.
Before COVID-19 I may not had my family living around the corner, but I had my friends in SoCal who where just a couple of flight hours away, I had my rescue photography, my volunteer time at a local shelter and of course I had my two own rescue dogs Blu and Lennard.
Since COVID -19 this obviously has changed.
Working in an area which is considered essential, gave and gives me job security, but at the same time I feel more exposed, at higher risk and isolated. Isolated, as all video chats in the world can't replace personal contact to family and friends.
Blu and Lennard have become my lifeline, they give me the strength to get through this time, they make me laugh, they challenge me, they comfort me and doing photoshoots with them has become my personal zen. Blu & Lennard, I love you ❤️
