My Shelter In Place story
Billie-Jean is a Board-Certified Master Snuggler which has been essential during these times. She offers aroma therapy with her sessions but the only scent she brings with her is 'corn chip' which is tolerable, sometimes. She's the perfect little tart and it's everything we can do not to just eat her up!
Molasses is an actual quarantine dog, adopted back in May. He has a ginormous head where he keeps all of his silliness along with two of the most soulful hazel eyes you'll ever see. He's currently studying to be a good boy and is completing an apprenticeship with Billie-Jean. He's come a long way but there's no training the dufus out of him and that's a-ok! Teaching and training him has definitely been a huge part of our coping process during these times. He helps remind us of something called patience which we sometimes forget is a thing. He's also reintroduced us to "exercise" because he needed some muscle mass in that bum of his (and, ahem, ours). Most importantly though, he makes us laugh every time we look at him. It's all at his expense but he doesn't seem to mind.
