T & Z Pawtraits
"I'm a self-taught artist in New England. I love animals of all kinds, and have had the joy of raising three cats: Tuffy, who went to sleep in 2016 at the age of 18, and brothers Tyke and Zorro. Heartbroken after losing Tuffy to cancer, I did the natural thing of adopting two sickly, motherless kittens and giving it my darnedest to nurse them to health. Lots of trips to the vet and two years later, Tyke and Zorro are robust, healthy mama's boys and the original muses for my pet portraits."

Jessica DeFrenn
"Hello! I'm Jessica, a Meca student studying illustration with a minor in business and entrepreneurship. I work mainly with inks and light washes. I tend to gravitate towards the natural world, with a fondness for the human body. I love to connect the abstract with the simplicity of what comes with life and death, to find some peace mixed in the inbetween. I run a dog portrait business, but also take on other kinds of commissions. My goal is to be an art teacher, and eventually run my own business that helps bring the arts to people with disabilities, or lower income families."

Nicole Rediker
Nicole is a multi-talented animal lover who was a staff member at the SPCA HC during 2018. She helped us keep the shelter cats healthy and happy, and we were all heartbroken when she announced that her family was moving out of state. Luckily, we managed to talk her into helping us out from afar by creating some of the line art for the Coloring for the Dogs! We also managed to talk her into adopting a fluffy kitten to remember us by.

Devina Viswanathan
A former SPCA HC staff member, Devina still helps out with projects around the shelter. She's not only helping us get our composting program up and running, she's offering her artistic skills for Coloring for the Dogs! Her adorable, very special dog Kousa was adopted from the SPCA and will be featured in the coloring book.

Morgan Rublee
Morgan is a high school English teacher whose hobbies include all things artsy. She has recently opened an online shop selling some of her original creations, from custom signs to handmade wreaths, but her passion for art began in her high school drawing class. If you're interesting in seeing what she creates, you can find her on Facebook and Instagram at Signs and Designs by Rublee. When she's not teaching or creating, she's probably playing with her two adopted kittens.
