Pet's Story:
Hi all. We are Cisco & Junior. We are brothers, best friends, and we are two of the almost 4K beagles, rescued from Envigo, a research and lab breeder in VA; a very, very bad place, that the DOJ shut down summer of 2022. We spent the first seven months of our life in that awful place before we were adopted by our new mom. We didn’t know how to be a dog, never felt grass on our paws, never played with toys, or had a dog cookie. But a year later, wow, freedom is awesome!!! We get so much love, belly rubs, cookies, walks, toys, and so much attention. We follow our mom everywhere (I think she called us Velcro, but she seems to really like it). We continue to adjust to our world of freedom. We are still so scared of noises and get nervous with anything new, but we have made tremendous progress. The beginning of our life was hard, we were not sure if we would make it, but life is so good now. We are happy, healthy, goofy, thriving, and so very loved. Cisco is the magician and makes socks and shoes disappear and Junior is the ringmaster always keeping mom on the edge of her seat waiting to see what mischievous trick will happen next.
