Pet's Story:
Lindee came to us from the TBBR "Angels on Earth" (as we call them) in April of 2011, with papers stating her birthday as March 10, 2006. She will be 18 in 2024. She had just been cured of heart worms by TBBR and was left with scarred lungs, which her vet discovered when x-rays were taken due to her chronic cough. She was put on a lung medication (works like a miracle) that has kept her cough-free all these years. She was also blind in her left eye, and we discovered she could not bark. Her vet found she was "debarked" (a cruel practice done to laboratory dogs), plus she has a chip out of one ear where an ID marker could have been attached, so that may have been her background. We can only imagine what her fate would have been had she not been rescued by TBBR! Since March is her birth month, she is decked out in St. Patrick's day attire. She was tri-colored but has lost her tan due to age and is now mostly gray and white, but she has no arthritis and can still jump on the furniture! She is bright, alert and responsive, per our vet, and she actually has a sense of humor and keeps us, her mom and dad, entertained. After her rescue, some called her "Lucky Lindee" but we are the lucky ones to have found such unconditional love; she is pure joy!
