Pet's Story:
Ms. Casey
After the passing of Buddy (aka Romer), our Beagle from TBBR, we rescued Ms. Casey.
She was surrendered to an animal shelter in N.C. after being used as a brood mama. She was born August 10th, 2013, and let go in December,2018. We took her home from FLUF Animal Rescue in Seminole on 14 January, 2019. She had just been returned to them as being "unmanageable". She literally jumped into my daughter Sharon's arms at first sight! Had we not taken her, she most likely would have been classified as unadoptable.
Ms. Casey was beautiful, healthy, and apparently very intelligent, but had not been trained or socialized. She was unfamiliar with an indoor environment.
After 2 and 1/2 months with us, we had a major setback in her reclamation when she was was attacked and seriously maimed by a large dog. As my daughter nursed her through her recovery, we began to gain her trust.
Subsequently, Ms. Casey went through dramatic changes and improvements.
Now, she has bonded with me, my daughter Sharon, and her dog Milo, a retired Irish Greyhound. She has an amazing listening vocabulary, communicates well with Milo, is very protective of me, loves Sharon, and is sensitive to our needs -----A joy to have in our household.
She has a large screened porch, a large fenced in yard (mostly grass), and lots of upholstered furniture to lounge on.
Ms. Casey is truly living her best life.
