2022 Wags & Whiskers Photo Contest Official Rules Proceeds from this contest will provide care to homeless animals throughout the Wenatchee ValleyEligibility:
- All submitted pet photos are subject to approval
- Photos must be full-color, no heavily filtered, edited or altered photos
- Photos deemed offensive, indecent or obscene will be removed
- Photos must be submitted by the pet owner and photos taken by a minor must be submitted by a legal guardian
- People are NOT allowed in photos, but photos of dogs, cats, horses, small mammals, reptiles and birds are accepted
- Pet does NOT have to be Wenatchee Valley Humane Society alumni or live in the Wenatchee Valley to be eligible to enter
- Entries can include animals who have passed away
- Multiple animals are allowed in one photo but only one pet will receive votes
- Copyrighted photos may only be included with written permission of the copyright-holder. Photos with professional photographer watermarks will not be eligible to be included in the calendar
- Photos must be high-resolution (300 dpi or greater) to be considered for a month spread in the calendar
- Photos must be in landscape (horizontal) format to be considered for a month spread in the calendar
- Photos must receive at least five (5) votes to be included in the 2023 calendar and fifty (50) to be featured on the cover
- All submitted photos become property of Wenatchee Valley Humane Society to be used at its discretion for any and all marketing purposes
- Photos submitted for cover consideration will have a $10 entry fee; all other categories are free to enter
Submission Deadline:
- All photo entries must be submitted by 12:00:00 PM (Pacific Time) on Friday, September 23, 2022 to be included in the final vote count.
Voting/Winner Determination:
- Online voting will start at 12:00:00 PM (Pacific Time) on Saturday, September 24, 2022.
- Voting ends at 5:00:00 PM (Pacific Time) on Friday, October 14, 2022.
- Winners are selected by votes and are voted on by the public, online.
- Each vote is a $1 donation, so vote early and vote often!
- Winners will be announced, live, on WVHS's Facebook page at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2022.
