Is there a fee to enter my pet?- There is no entry fee for your pet to compete in the monthly photo spread competitions
- There is a $10 entry fee for your pet to compete for the calendar cover
How Many Photos Can I Enter?- You can enter as many as you'd like!
Is there a minimum number of votes required per entry? - NO. Each vote costs $1, but there is no minimum requirement for number of votes cast per individual.
I've entered my pet! Now what?- Get the word out! Tell your friends and family to vote for your pet before 5:00:00 PM (Pacific Time) on Friday, October 14, 2022.
- Share reminders along the way as it usually takes 4-5 reminders before people follow through and cast a vote.
If I win one of the prizes, can I select a different photo of my pet to be featured at Wenatchee Valley Humane Society?- Yes! Wenatchee Valley Humane Society must approve all selected photos, but you are welcome to submit an alternate photo should you win one of the photo prizes.
Are votes tax-deductible? - Wenatchee Valley Humane Society is a 501(c)3 organization, Tax ID# 91-0838299. Each vote is a donation to WVHS and is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Can I vote for my own pet?- Absolutely! You are welcome (and encouraged) to cast as many votes as you'd like for your own pet's photo.
What percentage of donations will support programs at Wenatchee Valley Humane Society?- Wenatchee Valley Humane Society's funding comes from the generosity of individuals and local businesses and 96% of funds are spent on the animals in our care. We promise to be good stewards of your gifts!

Can I enter professional photos of my pet?- Yes, but you MUST obtain permission from the photographer to enter the photo in the contest. Photographs with photographer's watermarks will not be eligible to be included in the calendar.
What makes for a good pet photo?How do I enter my pet's photo(s)?How many votes do I need to have my pet featured on a month spread in the calendar?- The top vote-getters in each category will each get a featured month spread in the 2023 calendar (A minimum of 5 votes is required for guaranteed inclusion in the 2023 calendar)
- In the case of a tie, WVHS board and staff will make the final determination
How many votes do I need to have my pet featured on the cover of the calendar?- The top vote-getters in the Cover category will grace the cover of the 2023 calendar (A minimum of 50 votes is required for guaranteed cover)

How do I vote for a pet's photo?- Votes are $1 each and are tax-deductible. You can vote for your own pet's photo(s) as many times as you'd like!
- Click on ‘View Entries and Vote'. Search the pet's name and click on their photo. You can then cast your vote(s)!
- The deadline to cast votes is 5:00:00 PM (Pacific Time) on Friday, October 14, 2022.
- Easily share your pet's entry on social media by using the buttons on their page. Share with friends and family to vote!
How do the categories and leaderboards work?- The top vote-getters for each category will be featured on the homepage of the Photo Fundraiser website throughout the contest
- The top vote-getters for each category will each win a month spread in the 2023 Wags and Whiskers calendar (cover category winner will be featured on the cover of the calendar)
How will I know I won?- The winners of each category will be announced via Facebook live, email, and Wenatchee Valley Humane Society website. You can also check the leaderboard on the contest website to track your pet's photo standing.
When will I receive my calendar if my pet's photo was eligible as a winner?- Calendars will be mailed in the fall of 2022.
