Rules

  1. The contest is open to anyone.
  2. To enter, submit a photo of your dog or cat and include:
    • Your (or someone else's - - be sure to have owner's permission) dog's/cat's name
    • Your City and State
    • A short photographer bio and a reason that you chose this pet for your photo. Include why this dog or cat "has your heart.". (150 characters max)
  3. Photos of any dog or cat accepted.. . your photo entry does NOT have to be a rescue.
  4. Your photo may contain more than one pet, or you can submit a separate entry for each of your pets. PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE PEOPLE IN THE PHOTO.
  5. All entries must be the original work of the entrant/submitting photographer. You must own the copyright to the photograph . All submissions must be of good digital quality to retain detail when enlarged..  — 300 dpi or higher in PNG or JPG format — and no greater than 5MB.
  6. By submitting your photo, you grant Extraordinary Dogs Inc irrevocable permission to use the photos and pet stories for print and marketing purposes, including publication on the organization's blogs and websites as well as social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram as part of this calendar campaign. You also acknowledge that you are the sole owner of the copyright to the image and that no other entity has exclusive rights to the image.
  7. Any photo submission that does not comply with the above rules, or is deemed of inappropriate or inhumane content will be disqualified by Extraordinary Dogs Inc..
  8. All winners will be determined by electronic vote tabulations under the supervision of GoGo Photo Contest, whose decisions are final and binding.  Voting requires a minimum donation of $5 ($1/vote). A panel of professional photographers will select three (3) HONORABLE MENTIONS based on photographic merit from qualifying entries.
  9. By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Extraordinary Dogs Inc. and the contest Sponsors and each of their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize.
  10. The Contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
  11. Extraordinary Dogs Inc. reserves the right to modify or clarify any of the contest rules during the term of the contest without advance notice.
  12. Each photo submission requires a tax deductible donation of $5 to Extraordinary Dogs Inc.
  13. Multiple entries are encouraged with no limit on the number of photos/entries submitted.
  14. Entries will be taken from April 28, 2016 12:00 MDT until December 14, 2016 at 11:59 PM MST
  15. Voting will commence as soon as the contest launches on April 28, 2016 at midnight, 12:00 MST and will run until December 28, 2016 at 11:59:59 PM. MST
  16. Each vote is $1, with a $5 minimum donation. There is no limit to the number of votes one may cast. You may vote for your own photo and you may spread your votes across multiple entries. The top 13 photos will be featured in our 2016 calendar!
  17. When you purchase your “votes” you are actually making a donation to Extraordinary Dogs Inc rescue and retraining animal fund. When you complete your transaction to purchase votes, you will receive a confirmation email which will serve as your proof of donation.
  18. All donations are non-refundable.
  19. Unless otherwise noted, minimum vote requirements apply for prize eligibility. (see "Prizes")
  20. All winners will be officially notified on January 2, 2017 and prizes disbursed on January 14, 2017.
