Pet's Story
This is Rocky. He just turned 12 based on our estimation. He's a German Shepherd mix. I was blessed to foster and then adopt him in 2005 while I was attending law school in Spokane. He was taken by law enforcement from a drug house and at the time I got him weighed about 30 lbs. They estimated his age at the time (so he could be as old as 14 now, but we choose to go with the younger age). When he joined my home he had severe separation anxiety; leaving him home alone for even 15 minutes resulted in him tearing down blinds and curtains. I've worked with him over these last 11 years and he is now the most lovely and caring guy you will ever meet. He loves his little sister, Adrianne (8 month old German Shepherd). He still likes to try to take off from time to time, never going further than the neighbor's yard. This guy has been with me through thick and thin as I graduated law school and began my career. Every home we have lived in had to be Rocky approved. He's a little grey around the chin and stiff in his joints, but he's still that crazy dog I adopted over 11 years ago. He loves the dog park, treats, and stealing bully sticks from his sister. He doesn't even like the bully sticks unless they are in Adrianne's mouth. If it weren't for Rocky I wouldn't be where I am. Nowadays he and Adrianne roam our huge yard in Camas and then settle in with their choice of beds (both usually end up in bed with me). I love him. The longest relationship I have ever had.
