Got stuck in a sudden March snow fall while grocery shopping. Went on the wrong side of the street to wait for the bus and pulled out my cell phone... so unusual on Vancouver Island to have such weather! Felt like I was back in Montreal... it was lovely! This is my memento to Nanaimo Winter - 2019. Waiting for the bus on a chilling day and joy! I believe in Busing it. I am an inveterate Commuter... my footprint is wide with bunions and 59 years without a car. 3 kids, 6 grandchildren... no car: my choice. Money where mouth is: charity begins in home, in community, in kind connections in honesty and in respect. That is what I believe in. My core values will be appreciated when the whales return and the herring sing. When the coho spawn in riverets of open, waterfronted love.
