Rules

Photos must be in landscape orientation (wider than tall), and we require written permission from all people present in the photo.
Participants are not limited and everyone is welcome to participate. Voters are welcome from across Canada and around the world.
The fee to enter is $25. This registration fee is tax deductible, and an official tax receipt will be mailed to you in June.
Donations made in support of a photo are valued at one vote for every $1 donated. Donations of $10 or more are eligible for an official tax receipt, which will be mailed in June. Everyone who donates $25 or more will receive a CARE 2021 Calendar in the mail in November.
There are 13 full pages to win (the cover and 12 months). The top fundraiser will be awarded the cover and the runners-up will be awarded a page in the 2021 CARE Calendar.
A high-resolution version of the winning photos must be provided by Friday, June 14, 2020 at 11:59:59 pm EST to be included in the production of the calendar. If your image does not meet the resolution requirements, or you do not provide a high-resolution version of your image by this time, your spot will be given to the runner up.
By agreeing to the waiver, you will also acknowledge and give permission to CARE Canada to use the photo entered in this contest in future publications including the CARE Canada 2021 Calendar.
CARE Canada reserves the right to disqualify an entry based on objectionable content in the photo. Neither the registration fee or associated donations will be refunded.

Image Requirements:

Photo must be from one of the 100 countries where CARE works.
Photo must be landscape orientation (wider than tall), high quality, taken at maximum resolution, sharp and in focus.
Images will be approved by CARE Canada before they are posted to the contest site.
CARE Canada reserves the right to disqualify an entry based on objectionable content in the photo. Neither the registration fee nor associated donations will be refunded.
Photos can be of landscapes, buildings, nature and wildlife including animals. If the photo contains a person or people, you must be able to confirm and provide written authorization from that person for CARE Canada to use the photo. It is preferred that the photo not feature a person or people.
