Fundraising Tips
1. Make it personal
In your contest entry, describe where your photo was taken, and what it means to you. Set your fundraising goal, and tell your supporters why they should vote for your photo.
2. Share, share, share!
Share your personal entry link with friends, family and coworkers, to ask for their support. You can easily share your photo from your entry page - check out the promotion section under your photo to share on social media and e-mail.
Here's how you can raise $100 in only 5 days to help secure a top spot for your photo:
- Day 1: Ask 5 family members for a donation of $10 for your photo
- Day 3: Ask 5 friends for a donation of $5 for your photo
- Day 5: Ask 5 coworkers for a donation of $5 for your photo
3. Follow up
Already shared your photo entry with friends and family but you're seeing other photos gaining the lead? Follow up with your friends, family and coworkers to remind them that you need their support before the contest closes at 11:59pm EST on June 30th. As an added bonus, remind them that donations of $25 or more will receive a copy of the CARE 2021 Calendar in November!
Offline Donations
If you receive cash donations we ask that you do not send cash to us in the mail. Please deposit them into your own bank account and have a bank draft or cheque drawn up to the order of CARE Canada. Download this pledge form and mail them to us at this address:
