Furry Faces 2025 Calendar Competition

Welcome to the Furry Faces 2025 Calendar Competition! Your pet may be photogenic - all pets are of course - but does yours have what it takes to grace the HSCC calendar cover? There's no such thing as resting on beauty in the Furry Faces 2025 Calendar Competition! Those who campaign and promote will be rewarded with votes from their friends and family. It's time to rally your Facebook followers and help your pet rise to the top.

This competition is more than just a popularity contest, it's a FUN-raiser for the animals at HSCC. Every time a new contestant enters or a vote is cast "thank you's!" echo through the shelter halls, because each dollar represents a bowl filled with food, a soft blanket to sleep on, a life-saving treatment, or a new toy to play with.

Reserve a Day to Honor Your Pet

Just want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your pet. This can be for your pet's adoption anniversary, birthday, loved one's birthday, memorial or really any special day! Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! First come first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.

Prizes

Top 12

The top 12 photos that receive the most votes at the end of the contest will be our winners and will be guaranteed a place in the 2025 Furry Faces Calendar.
Placement of photos and selection of featured month will be determined by the staff at HSCC, with exception of first place.
In addition to being featured on a month in the 2025 Furry Faces Calendar winners 2-12 will receive four calendars.

First Place

The photo with the most votes at contest conclusion will be given the cover of the 2025 Furry Faces Calendar and will be allowed to select which month they would like the pet's photo featured on.
In addition to the cover and month of their choosing, the first-place winner will be given eight 2025 Furry Faces Calendars.

Rules

Submit your pet's photo for a $10 entry fee anytime throughout the competition.
This contest will begin at 8:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Monday, July 1, 2024 and conclude at 8:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
Vote early and often for your pet's photo.
Photos containing pets of all kinds are welcomed, including dogs, cats, small mammals, reptiles, agricultural animals, horses, birds, etc.
Your photo submission must contain a pet(s) that you personally own.
Photos featuring people will be disqualified.
Photos may contain more than one pet.
Photos deemed offensive, obscene, or with political content will be removed from the contest.
All entries are subject to review, editing, and removal by the Humane Society of Catawba County.
To ensure that we can use your photo for publication, please make sure that you submit a digital photo only with a file size of 2 MB or higher. (Regular photos developed from film and scanned generally will not result in a high enough quality to print).
File sizes are automatically reduced when submitted to the live voting site, so at the end of the contest, the winning entries must email the original photo to alicia@catawahumane.org within 7 days of the contest's end for it to be able to be included in the calendar.
NO holiday themed photos. Month selection is given to the first-place winner. If your photo features animals dressed up for Christmas, and the first-place winner selects December they would be completely out of context on any other month.
Each $1 donation counts as one vote. The winners of this competition will be the top 12 pets with the most votes at the contest conclusion.
