To participate, enter your favorite photo of your City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue alumni for a donation of $30 and then, share your photo with family and friends and invite them to vote for your pet to win a spot in the 2023 City Dogs & City Kitties Calendar! Votes are $1 each and all funds raised will support the important operations of City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue.

The contest this year is open to CDCK alums across the globe. We want to see your CDCK alum strike a pose in their favorite place, whether it is sun charging in their favorite window sill or climbing mountains near and far. Be creative, we know you have hundreds of photos of them on your phone!

The top 6 winners in each category determined by the highest number of votes will win a spot in a professional photoshoot, on Saturday, October 1, with talented local photographer Hannele Lahti, and will have their picture displayed in a coveted place on the walls of many CDCK supporters throughout the DMV and across the country as part of the 2023 calendar! The entrant with the most votes overall (cat or dog) will be our calendar cover star!

Any winner who does not live locally and cannot attend the photo shoot will work with local DC artist and graphic designer Keaton Van Beveren have their CDCK alum creatively immortalized for the calendar.

Don't have a CDCK alumni (yet) or not sure you want to enter for a chance to be in the calendar? You can still support our 2023 Calendar Contest by voting for and sharing your favorite entries, or Reserve a Day on the calendar and we'll put your favorite photo of your pet on the date square of your choice for a donation of $50 (one pet per day, dates are first come, first served). You will have the opportunity to donate more than $50 per Reserve a Day if you would like! 

The contest begins at 12:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 and runs until 11:59:59 PM (Eastern Time) on Friday, September 23, 2022 so get ready to put your best paw forward for a chance at local calendar fame! Good luck!

The top 6 winners in each category as determined by those entries with the highest number of votes at the close of the contest, will have their picture or illustration featured as a month in the 2023 City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue Calendar!

The entrant with the most votes overall (cat or dog) will secure the spot as the star of our 2023 calendar cover!

Just want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your pet. This can be for your pet's adoption anniversary, birthday, loved one's birthday, memorial or really any special day! Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! First come first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available. You will be able to make an additional donation to the rescue on top of reserving your day, if desired.
