This is Penny! She and her twin sister Moxie (full names Penicillin and Amoxicillin) came to me via the folks at Beautiful Together Animal Sanctuary after being rescued 30 minutes prior to euthanization, as I’m told. Penny was a tiny little scaredy cat when I first met her and wanted nothing more than to be in a small, dark corner without anybody bothering her. At 4 months, she barely weighed 2.5lbs and was in serious need of some TLC. After giving her some space and love from afar (and lots of Churus), she learned that people weren’t so bad and grew into the cuddle bug she is today! Penny’s favorite activities include watching the birdfeeder, sleeping on my chest (every night!), chasing pompom toys, eating (but only after Moxie’s had first dibs), and belly rubs. She’s very smart (this photo is actually her executive headshot — she won’t stop bugging me about wanting a LinkedIn) and excels at pushing balls on tracks, stealing socks as toys, and purring so loudly you wonder if there actually may be a motor inside her. Most of all, she’s got a lil kitty heart of gold!
