John Campbell is an artist and tattooer from the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. From a young age, John has been fascinated by art, attending numerous classes to refine his craft. Over the years, he's continued to expand his skills, studying advertising and design, digital illustration, and a variety of painting styles, allowing him to create work across various mediums.
John attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, where he further developed his talents and studied 2D and 3D animation, as well as the fundamentals of various mediums. His ultimate goal as an artist is to create balanced and harmonious images that flow seamlessly with the canvas and complement their surroundings. When it comes to tattooing, John aims to create art that tells a story, and becomes a natural part of the body's flow and shape.
Currently, John works from a private studio setting in Durham, NC, where he has developed a tattooing style that captures the subtle details of his subjects in a unique and eye-catching way. When he's not tattooing, you can find him working on sculpture, creating miniature nature scenes, or painting. As an animal lover, John deeply appreciates the companionship and love that animals bring to people and has a special little feline companion of his own.
With his broad skillset, John is capable of working with just about any creative medium and welcomes new challenges and projects.
