Hi! I am Luke...and no, your eyes are not deceiving you, I do not have much hair, but other than that, I am tip-top!

BFPA took me into rescue from a rural NC shelter after I was picked up as a 4 year old stray in 2017...I was very sunburned, not having hair. Ouch!

The NCSU Vet School ran tests and said that I had most likely suffered a high fever causing me to lose my hair.

Alas, my lack of hair also meant a lack of interest in potential adopters. Oh, I met lots of people but a FURRY friend I was not!

Then, after a long long time (in my time), my forever dad came along!

At our first meet, he looked into my eyes and saw me for who I was...and wanted me to get in the truck. Oh boy, was I ready to ride or what?

Whoa! my foster mom said...there is paperwork! Plus, she was a bit misty-eyed that my person had finally found ME (and I think she wanted to foster me just a little longer to say goodbye).

Now, my dad takes me on excellent adventures... I have sweaters for the winter and doggie sunscreen and high performance athletic doggie shirts in the summer.

I have stood on mountain overlooks and taken dips in the sea!

Life is good...no, life is GREAT for me!

No hair, no problem.
