Lemmy wandered into our lives off the streets outside Houston in 2015. His rogue dog mentality kept our hands full, loose objects chewed up and his brother, Skipper, on edge. But with Skipper's guidance and tireless training from Meridith, this sweet soul settled into our family.
Since then, his goofy personality, sloppy kisses and unbridled passion for car rides have kept us laughing with full hearts.
Last November, Lemmy was diagnosed with a Mast Cell Tumor and showed incredible bravery and courage as he adapted to life as a tripod. Long walks have been substituted with stroller rides and park visits to sit and watch the ducks. His refusal to let cancer dampen his lust for life inspires us every day and his journey reminds us that despite the challenges life throws our way, each day is a gift, especially with a sweet little man like Lem Dawg!
