A little about me...Barkley, a beagle mix, is 8 1/2 years old and I and a friend found him nervously walking on the street in Point Richmond 7 1/4 years ago. Sadly, his original owners, who had adopted him from Marin Humane, drove across the Richmond San Rafael Bridge and set him free there. His microchip showed his owners. To this day, I will never understand the cruelty of not returning him to Marin Humane. It was a miracle that we appeared when we did and we immediately bonded. He is a loving, gentle, beautiful, loyal, snuggly boy with a very merry personality. He especially loves children, smaller dogs and is extremely smart. His favorite thing is to chase and catch balls in the air (eye to mouth coordination is extraordinary) and he buries himself under blankets when he sleeps. I had lost my last dog, a beagle, to cancer just months before so I know finding Barkley was meant to be. He was truly a miracle and is my very best buddy.
Where did you get your pet?On the street in Point Richmond and then from
Marin Humane. I had to wait for 2 weeks to adopt him but thankfully I was first on the list since I had found him.
