A little about me...Hi my name is Max! I'm the best boy in the world. 3 weeks ago I almost died from splenic hemangiosarcoma but missing one meal triggered my humans to take me right away to the vet(I really like my food...did a mention I'm a golden). ER surgery to remove my spleen saved me but...ya...they don't want to talk about it either. A week before all this happened I was at my auntie's house who was moving(I was lending a paw)and she has a LOT of stuffies. I picked my favorite(normally I would shred these)but Bunny(seen in pic) has become my comfort in this tough time. Even my goofy brother Moonshine knows that it's mine...we talked about what's up so I know he's sad too. I love Bunny, I love my family and I'm going to stay strong and be the miracle boy! Several breeds are really prone to this disease, including goldens, labs, german shepherds, boxers, pitbulls, several thin coat breeds. I'm hoping I could raise awareness to the symptoms to help as many as I can. Please support Marin Humane to help all my buddies live their best lives!
